ENVIRONMENT AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

     Environment and Social impact assessment of the Ukhaa Khudag project
     The project Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) have been carried out by Eco Trade LLC, ENCO LLC, JEMR LLC with assistance of international company Sustainability and ERM undertook the Shakeholder Engagement.

     Environment protection plan
     The environmental protection plan has been developed in accordance with the related Mongolian legislations and the principle environmental management policy of the company. It includes provisions:
-    Implementation of appropriate international environmental management standards and environmental protection and reclamation activities
-    Restoration of proper natural conditions following the mine closure
-    Implementation of specific plan for plantation around the mine area
-    Continuous improvement of surrounding ecological conditions
-    Development of an appropriate program to regulate social issues of the local citizens and take measures to restore surroundings of the mine area, preserve local cultural heritages, and to create suitable environment to live and work for the local community.

     Site monitoring program
     A site monitoring program will be implemented in accordance with the environmental protection plan and environmental and social impact assessment.
